Instructions to reducing the thickness of a stripe veneer in the pasta machine:

  1. Prepare Your Veneer:
    • Place your striped polymer clay veneer between two sheets of baking paper. This will help keep the clay clean and prevent it from sticking to the rollers.
  2. Set the Pasta Machine:
    • Begin by setting your pasta machine to the #1 setting, which is the thickest.
  3. Pass the Veneer Through:
    • Gently feed the clay sandwich (veneer between baking paper) through the machine at the #1 setting.
  4. Gradually Reduce Thickness:
    • Change the setting to #2 and repeat the process, passing the clay through the machine.
    • Continue this process, moving through the settings until you reach the #4 setting.
  5. Check the Veneer:
    • After each pass, check the veneer to ensure the stripes remain even and the clay is smooth.
  6. Final Check:
    • Once you’ve reached the #4 setting, your striped veneer should be uniformly thinned and ready for the next step in your project.
